About us

From the moment your eyes land on these words, I wish you happiness, I wish you well — without names, without celebrations, without applause — simply a living, authentic wish from one human being to another.

Our story is a story shaped by honesty, by responsibility, by the decision to truly support each other. A story of curiosity, of care, of choosing one another with intention. We met back in 2014 during a rafting tour. What began as a simple encounter slowly grew into something deeper — We are Tefa & Andy.

From the very beginning, we felt something quietly strong. Our home, Costa Rica, is breathtakingly beautiful… yet small. And the world beyond is vast. Somewhere in us, a hunger to explore, to learn, to experience, took root. Together, we began looking beyond — beyond borders, beyond familiarity, beyond fear, beyond the sunsets we thought we knew.

Hand in hand, we have moved slowly through many places. Taking the time to see them, to walk them, to taste them, to sit with them. To smile, to remember, to miss. We’ve often observed others rushing through these same spaces: stepping off a bus, snapping a photo, moving on to the next checkpoint on their list. We understand. We respect it. That’s the way of the world, of obligations, of schedules.

But we chose a different path. We notice the small things that hold stories — Being in many places without really knowing them is not our way — cobblestone streets, seashells scattered quietly along the shore, lamps by the riverside, statues standing in silent witness.

And in those quiet moments, we imagine the souls who came before us. If someone stood here 100 or 200 years ago, looking at the same view, feeling the same sunlight, would they imagine a future like ours? Would they wonder if someone, far in the future, would think of them, even without knowing their name? And somehow, across centuries, we feel that silent connection — the thread of presence, thought, and memory stretching through time.

This is our story. A slow one. Full of memories, laughter, challenges, and care. And then we imagine the future. A person we will never meet, standing here long after we are gone. Perhaps they will pause, look, feel something, and even without knowing us, imagine us and smile. And to that soul, whoever they are, across time: I want you to be happy. And if I think of you, thank you for your good wishes.

With love, Andy & Tefa.
